The castle is located in the western foothills of Pieria. It is built on a very important fortified position, as it controls the passage from Macedonia to Thessaly and South Greece through the narrow of Sarantaporo.
For the complete harmonization with the natural landscape we supplied limestone pebbles of earth tones for the routes.
