Malea’s cape is located on the southern tip of Peloponnese. The stone lighthouse was constructed and started operations at 1883, measuring tower height 15 meters and focal height 40 meters. Nowadays it is known also as Cape Malia or Xylochaftis, which in Greek indicates the ships that sank near the headland.
For the fastening and the coating of the Lighthouse we supplied pozzolan lime mortars and volcanic land, which is the most appropriate material for buildings affected by sea conditions.
