In the heart of Jerusalem and within the Church of the Lord’s Resurrection, the Holy Sepulcher sends message of hope and peace around the world. The interdisciplinary team of the National Technical University headed by Mrs. Antonia Moropoulou, Vice – Professor NTUA, documented the restoration of the monument. According to the study, the voids of weathered mortar caused by moisture, were injected with ultrafine grout material without cement and for fastenings, where required, also used mortar without cement.

The project was completed on time, with complete success, without disturbing neither traffic nor opening hours nor religious meetings of the different religions that are housed in this sacred space.
